If you have not tried our soap, we encourage you to do so.
At Badger Creek Studio, our goal is to keep our soap as simple as possible for two reasons.
1) To give you a great product.
2) Keep you coming back for more.
We don't use fancy chemicals that dry out your skin. Our soaps produce a rich lather, and contain three simple ingredients: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, and Shea Butter... That's it. We then add Fragrance and sometimes some color to make them look pretty and appealing. Our soaps can be used on your body as well as your face.
We make our soap the cold process way, and we always cure our soaps for several weeks to make sure they will last a long time in your bath or shower.
Lets break down our soap and show you how our soap can give you the best benefits with each of our ingredients we use.
People have used olive oil for centuries because it makes your skin smoother, and more elastic. Olive oil helps fight cell degeneration, due to the presence of Vitamin A and E, as well as other anti-oxidants.
The use of Olive oil soaps help clean your skin without stripping away the natural oils -- so you don't end up dry and flaky after its use. It also allows the skin to sweat and shed cells naturally and it is non-greasy making it great for people who suffer from Acne.
It's hypoallergenic, and you are less likely to experience an allergic reaction when using it.
It's great for dry and sensitive skin and can help relieve the symptoms of skin diseases like eczema and psoriasis. Olive oil has natural anti-inflammatory properties which is good for healing skin abrasions, rashes and sunburn.
Coconut Oil nourishes the skin keeping it soft and incredibly smooth. The nutrients are also great for moisturizing your hair. It prevents dry chapped skin, helps remove dirt and dead cells from the skin, and helps premature aging and wrinkling. Coconut oil is light and not greasy. It leaves your skin with a radiant, youthful and glowing sheen as well as benefits to prevent acne.
Skin Firming - Wrinkled skin can be caused from the elasticity in your skin breaking down as you age. The antioxidants from the coconut oil work to reduce skin aging.
Coconut oil will not clog pores and it absorbs readily into the skin so it works very well as a carrier oil for dry, itchy or sensitive skin. Coconut oil is great for soap making because of its resistance to spoiling, and helps to create a good hard soap that has a wonderful nourishing fluffy lather.
Your skin needs moisture to stay resilient, healthy, glowing, and supple. Shea Butter is a tree nut from Africa, and has been used for generations in African cultures as a moisturizer, health aid, and healing balm. In its purest form, it is a solid fat with a high skin absorption rate. It is chock full of naturally occurring Vitamin A, E, and F. Shea butter can help prevent bumps from shaving, razor irritation, rashes, and even eczema. Shea butter has a high level of cinnamic acid, which is a naturally occurring sun screen that absorbs easily into the skin without clogging your pores.
Some additional uses of Shea Butter include:
- - Reducing or eliminating scalp dryness or irritation
- - Restoring natural elasticity after a shower
- - Restoring shine and naturally occurring oils to hair
- - Eliminating dry and uncomfortable patches on feet, elbows, and knees
- - Preventing sunburn on sensitive neck and face areas
- - Helping heal wounds and encouraging the healing process from scars
Shea Butter naturally revitalizes and refreshes your skin, no matter what condition it may be in. It is best applied when slightly warmed or melted, and can be a very beneficial massage aid for sore muscles and joints! Frequent use of Shea Butter will keep your skin smooth and supple for hours, without any stickiness or greasy feeling. Shea Butter is your best choice for a weekly, if not daily, moisturizer!
